As he says, he never expected to stay in London for such a long period. In 2005, Mac started his Master course in logistics at the University of Westminster. The studies  has brought many opportunities and enabled him to start his career in the UK. He worked for GlaxoSmithKline, Alliance Unichem and Xerox Europe between the period of 2006 and 2010. He is still very passionate about logistics and wishes to continue his career in this field upon return from the journey. His spare time is dedicated to running. He completed his first marathon in Edinburgh in 2009. As he says, running is an interested activity because you can track your progress easily and can keep raising the bar. “When I started running 3 years ago I could barely run for 30 minutes without a rest. After some time, I completed my first 10K run and a half-marathon in the subsequent year”. Apart from running, Mac enjoys riding a bike, swimming and web designing.

St_Lucia_490.JPGAga and Mac met for the first time in Slovakia on New Year’’s Eve in 2004. After a few months of living seperately in different countries, Aga decided to resign from her job  in Poland and moved to London. Since then, they have been living together in London. They got married in St Lucia, the Carribeans in May 2008. They have not decided yet as where they are going to settle down upon their return from South America. It might be either London, somewhere in Poland or even some other location in the world, the choices are countless. As they have both admitted, the idea of backpacking South America was born spontaneusly.

“We both feel that the time will come sooner than later to finally settle down. However, before this time comes, we wish to experience something different, something that has nothing to do with our current daily routine, something like exporation of South and Central American countries. This vast continent has got so much to offer and we hope that this journey will influence us in many ways. We also wish to open up more for other people.”
